Developing TripIt required addressing several challenges. Consolidating flight, hotel, and activity bookings into a single, easy-to-use interface was complex, as data came from multiple external sources with varying formats. Ensuring real-time updates for flights, bookings, and activities was critical to prevent missed alerts. Data security was also a top priority, as users trusted the app with sensitive personal and travel information. Lastly, maintaining a smooth, fast, and reliable experience for users planning trips across multiple time zones required robust backend architecture.
